One of the things I miss most about living in California is being close to the Stones Throw epicenter. So when Madlib invades Miami’s local hot spot Laundry Bar, you know its bound to draw yours truly.
Standing room only is the norm at this spot so waiting till 2am for the Beat Konducta to drop some gems took some composure, a friendly bartender and lots of shoe cleaner the next morning..

Mapei did a couple raps at The Wired Store yesterday for the Downtown Records Showcase. She abused the mic in the midst of energy efficient laptops and a 2009 $45K Lincoln MKS. Also, it’s been a while since I last heard Amanda Blank unleash some verbal artillery. She obviously didn’t lose a step, when she grabbed the mic in-between Mapei’s set.
