RE:UP Magazine is the definitive urban music and art lifestyle publication, focusing on the musicians, visual artists and taste makers that shape the rock, hip-hop, electronic and reggae music cultures. RE:UP connects the dots between today’s most influential movements with the trends of tomorrow. It’s a publication that bridges genre-defining music from the past, present and future. RE:UP Magazine defines what is timeless.

RE:UP was created by Joshua Lynne and Beau Lamontagne in 2002. In 2005, the headquarters moved locations from San Diego, California to Brooklyn, New York, and has since absorbed more forms of culture through the transition, while still maintaining the lifestyles and progressions of its original ideology.

Though RE:UP is based in New York City, the magazine is responsible for numerous events across the country. Several world-renown performers and DJs such as Luke Vibert, The Egyptian Lover, Prefuse 73, Dante Ross, Simian Mobile Disco, Scholly D, In Flagranti, A Trak, Ursula 1000, Prins Thomas, Grand Master Flash, Daedelus, Kudu, Danger Mouse, Quantic, Nickodemus, Metro Area and Thievery Corporation have flown in to entertain at the magazine’s events.

Musicians, entertainers, and artists that have been featured in the past issues of the magazine include Michael Showalter, Kid Koala, Jurassic 5, Quasimoto / Madlib, Friends With You, Thurston Moore, Justin Theroux, Jean-Paul Goude, Slum Village, Massive Attack and Mike Patton. Their discussed biographies and plans for the future have caught the eyes of tens of thousands of readers across the world. But while music and entertainment are the leading factors of RE:UP, the artistic designs and integration of contemporary media are what make the magazine extraordinary.
