The Chemical Brothers x Google Earth

Submit your own clip by August 25 to be featured in an upcoming Chemical Brothers film. 

To celebrate the release of their album ‘Brotherhood’, The Chemical Brothers have teamed with Google Earth to produce a short film and music video — and they are asking for everyone to contribute. If selected, your work will be featured on the Chemical Brothers’ website, the front page of Youtube, and on Google Earth.  

Make your own short video clip (from 2 to 20 seconds) or photograph on the theme of MIDNIGHT MADNESS.  Then upload your work via the Chemical Brothers’ website to Google Earth and tag it to it’s exact global location.  

A selection of the best work will be featured in a new concept music video for the Chemical Brothers, executed through the Google Earth application.  This film will be premiered on the Chemical Brothers website and as a YouTube homepage exclusive on September 1st 2008, to celebrate the release of the new album ‘Brotherhood’. 

In addition to this, you will be able to browse all the creative work submitted from around the world on Google Earth via The Chemical Brothers website.  

Some tips on your entries:

The Midnight Madness global video project is a celebration of the odd things that people get up to at the midnight hour. Take that as your brief.

Download the track sample and keep that in mind when creating your work.

Think local.  How would your film sit within Google Earth, and how does it relate to your location? Remember, your film will be tagged to where you shot it.

Practical:

Videos of any resolution will be accepted as part of the overall Google Earth project, but if you want your film to be considered for the main film, the resolution needs to be 640×480 pixels AT THE VERY LEAST – higher, if at all possible.

You must include your contact details on any submissions, in case we need to contact you if your film is chosen.
