V-Moda Vibe Duo: a RE:UP Review

Headphones piss me off. I usually have the worst luck with them. Either the buds are too big, causing massive headaches, or they crumble into useless pieces in my bag. I had just about given up and was becoming very comfortable with the idea of placing duct-taped, half-working knobs on my head every time I wanted to listen to a little Gwar. However, I was recently introduced to a set of Vibe Duos by V-Moda. Though they’re a bit pricey ($100), the quality is completely worth the currency. They’re extremely lightweight, come with six pairs of plugs for size adjustment, and they sound amazing. The minimalist style looks suave as hell, without being pretentious. The Vibe Duo also comes with a hands-free microphone, as well asa call-control button, which are attached to the fabric-lined wiring. Plus, they have battery-free BLISS noise-isolating technology that makes the music extraordinarily clear (that could be good or bad, depending on what you’re listening to). I can barely hear the subway rolling up when I have these babies in. If you’re like me and would like to listen to death metal in a stress-free, calming environment, then the Vibe Duos are definitely your bag. – Lauren Hanley
